Russian Business Club
|
We are a non-profit society in British Columbia
We help to link business in Canada and the republics of the former Soviet Union
All Canadian Businesses at all levels, who are interested
in cooperation with us, please DO respond!
Our Goals:
1. Uniting all the small and medium-sized businesses of
the Russian speaking community in British Columbia and
in the Greater Vancouver area, no matter what the activity
of their business is. Businesses welcome include eateries
(cafes, restaurants, delis, and cafeterias), stores of
all profiles: clothes, shoes, grocery, etc. Car dealerships,
automotive repair shops, laundries, video rentals are
welcome, as well. Consulting offices, financial advisors,
and brokers of all type may join the Club, too. The same
applies to business operating from their home. In short
– if you have a business, JOIN!
2. We expect honest and frank exchange of information
between members of the Club. Entrepreneurial activity
or success methods that a business/store/shop could communicate
to other members could be interesting and valuable and
useful to other members. Examples: working with clients,
i.e. customer service, suppliers, etc. Special seminars
or work groups may be held.
3. We also can help each other with information on how
to open a business (or how to buy an existing one) and
how to run it in order to make profit. We will analyze
sinking businesses, and find out the ways to help out
each other in a dire straight situation.
4. We will maintain a web site, and all of the members
will be placed on the list. Information, news, and postings
from small businesses are more than welcome. Every business
which joins the Business Club will place an advertisement
on the site for free.
5. Advertising of our Business Club, information on its
activities and events will be placed in Russian Vancouver
newspapers, and magazines.
6. We will endeavour to provide cross-references to each
other if/when one of us may need a credit from a financial/business
institution, especially at the initial stage of setting
a business up.
7. We plan to conduct meetings of our Business Club at
least once a month. Zia’s Deli & Café will be the
initial meeting place. Membership will be issued after
the payment of an annual fee ($ 100). The Business Club
account will be maintained. The funds will be used to
promote our association, and to mutually work out the
further actions, development and goals so the business
community and government pays attention to the needs and
problems of small and medium-sized Russian businesses.
Ethnic groups do have the right to make their own ways
of existence in the mosaic life of Canada. We count on
the help of each other, and on government support.
